Jemma Bamford owner and plasma pen specialist at Plasma NI, Northern irelands premier skin tag mole and lesion removal clinic in lisburn

WELCOME TO PLASMA NI.

I’m Jemma Bamford, the founder and lead practitioner here at Plasma Skin Tag Removal NI. My journey in the skin industry began over 13 years ago, and since then, I’ve dedicated my career to mastering advanced clinical treatments. As a fully regulated iTEC and VTCT Level 4 Aesthetic Practitioner, my goal is to provide safe, effective solutions for those who want to feel confident in their own skin again.

I’m incredibly proud that our commitment to patient care has been recognised with the WhatClinic Patient Service Award for two years running in 2023 and 2024. For me, it isn’t just about the procedure; it’s about making sure you feel heard, comfortable, and well-cared for from the moment you book.

Having trained in Plasma Pen technology since 2016, I specialise in the precise, non-surgical removal of skin tags, moles, and other lesions. In 2025, I was delighted to bring the latest Fusion Plasma Technology to Northern Ireland—the first of its kind here—to help treat more complex conditions like scarring and rosacea.

Operating from The Skin Practice in Lisburn, I aim to bridge the gap for those who can no longer access these services through the NHS. Whether you are visiting for a simple removal or a detailed mole screening, you can expect a friendly, hygienic, and highly professional environment.

Bookings and enquiries are welcome through my website.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • A plasma pen is a non-surgical device that uses an electrical arc to vaporise and remove benign (non-cancerous) skin lesions. It is highly effective for treating:

    • Skin Tags

    • Warts

Moles (Please note: All moles must be checked and diagnosed as benign by a medical professional, such as a GP or one of our Map My Mole Dermatologists before treatment.)

    • Age Spots

    • Seborrheic Keratosis

    • Cherry Angiomas

  • The treatment itself is very quick, lasting just a few minutes per lesion once the numbing cream has taken effect.

After the treatment, you will have small, brown carbon crusts on the treated area. These scabs are a natural part of the healing process and must be left to fall off on their own, which usually takes 5-10 days.

It is crucial to follow the aftercare instructions provided to you. Do not pick or scratch the scabs, and keep the area clean and dry. Once the scabs have fallen off, the new skin underneath may be a little pink and should be protected from the sun with a high-SPF sunscreen.

  • Booking is simple and stress-free with our easy online booking system available on our website.

We are located at the entrance of Rosevale Industrial, in Rosevale House, 171b. Look for a black wooden door. Once inside, our waiting area is at the top of the stairs. We offer the added convenience of stress-free parking right at the door for all our clients.
